Emerald Trading is a family owned business with a large MOT bay which is also engaged in car and van sales and rental.

In May 2005 Emerald Autoservices Ltd was formed to deal with the repair and service side of the workshop and to operate the breakdown lorry service.

GlenHistory

In 1996 Emerald Trading started selling cars and vans in College Lane, Beccles. The firm moved to the site on the Ellough Industrial Estate in 1999 with a large workshop to repair and service cars and vans. The MOT station began in September 2003 for Class 4 and 7.

Class 1-2 Motorbike and side car was then added.

Class 3 was added October 2006 for 3-wheelers.

Class 5 was added January 2007 for mini buses.
Emerald Trading is the only MOT station in the NR postcode area to do all 6 classes.

At present there are 8 members of staff, Glen the Manager of the workshop and MOT station, the MOT Site Manager, 4 mechanics and 2 office staff.
